Do you know why some farms use variable speed fans while others use caged fans? Let me clear it up for you. Caged fans are cheap and do move air effectively. The problem however is that they are traditionally used in livestock barns and that is what they are meant for. A caged fan in the greenhouse will circulate air 25 feet in front of it and 25 feet behind it. It will create a circle of air.
