Formation OF AdeptAg (January 1, 2022)

As of January 1, 2022, AgriNomix and Zwart Systems joined forces to become part of the newly formed, AdeptAg company.  AdeptAg is rapidly becoming the elite North American platform to serve professional horticultural growers as well as the increasingly active controlled environment agriculture (CEA) market.  AgriNomix is North America’s top supplier of process automation, internal logistics and robotic solutions for growers.  Zwart Systems is North America’s leader in comprehensive irrigation and water treatment solutions to controlled environment growers.  The wide-ranging core competencies of these two, best-in-class suppliers are extremely complementary and over time, integrated turn-key solutions will be offered.

When asked, how he chose these two businesses to start the platform, AdeptAg’s CEO, Rick Parod, points to both AgriNomix and Zwart System’s exceptional reputations for integrity, breadth of offerings and stellar service.  Rick added, “These companies exemplify the impact and value contribution that all of our companies will bring to our customers operations”.  Parod is a globally recognized agriculture automation leader himself, having retired as CEO from Lindsay Corporation prior to launching AdeptAg.  While at Lindsay Corporation, he drove the company revenues from roughly $100M to well over $500M, through the implementation of strategic, organic growth and acquisition initiatives.

Jim Van Ryn, General Manager of Zwart Systems says “Our entire team is excited about joining forces with AgriNomix under Adept Ag. The synergies between our two companies greatly enhance our ability to address market opportunities. Under the expert leadership of Rick Parod and the others involved, we will position ourselves to grow our offering to our extremely valued customers.”

AgriNomix’s Rob Lando echo’s Van Ryn’s optimism. “We’re thrilled to be selected to join this undertaking.  We have great respect for our industry friends at Zwart Systems and we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate.  Our customer’s will greatly benefit from better integration and coordination on their projects.  This is a stellar union.”

The two companies will continue to operate separately, in their current locations, and customers and suppliers should not expect any significant changes other than increased investments.  AdeptAg will be exploring additional investment opportunities to support the growth and development of the new platform.
